Practical AI 1 DAY · 7 HOURS (1H CAT 2 ETHICS + 6H CAT 5 IT)

By the end of the day, participants can: use Microsoft Copilot purposefully across core work activities; work across ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini in practice; automate repetitive Excel tasks and clean messy data; extract, validate and structure data from PDFs and unstructured documents; build interactive dashboards and management-ready visualisations; generate professional PowerPoint presentations; design and deploy AI agents; build lightweight mini-applications; evaluate the right AI tool for each use case; and integrate AI responsibly with ethical and confidentiality guardrails.

Module 1: AI Foundations
Copilot versions, access tiers and core capabilities. Comparing and using the major AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini): what each does well, what it costs, and where it fits. Using AI safely: security, data residency and data confidentiality.
Module 2: AI for Excel
Prompt engineering for Excel in everyday workflows. Cleaning, consolidating and processing data.
Module 3: Building Interactive Dashboards and Mini Apps
Build a dashboard for data analytics and visualisation. Build mini apps to automate tasks.
Module 4: AI for PDF Extraction
Extracting data from structured and unstructured documents. AI for reconciliation. Exporting to structured Excel and reporting-ready formats.
Module 5: AI for Everyday Productivity
Copilot across Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and OneDrive. Prompting with the COSTAR framework; prompting for better answers, emails and regulatory questions. AI for meeting summaries, minutes and action tracking; analysis and analytical dashboards; reports and PowerPoint generation; scenario analysis; SOPs, documentation and policies. Zero-shot, few-shot and chain-of-thought prompting. Using AI reliably for calculations. Deep Research vs Chat.
Module 6: AI Agents
Build AI agents in Copilot to handle repetitive tasks and function as chatbots. Prompt engineering and setup for agents: defining roles, tasks, knowledge bases and guardrails.
Module 7: Risks of AI
Understanding prompt injection and how it affects processes. Human in the loop.
Module 8: AI Governance & Strategy
Governance, accountability and responsible AI deployment. AI strategy for staff and for the company. AI limitations: hallucinations, numerical errors and accuracy validation. Identifying high-impact, low-risk use cases. Building workflows with AI. Change management, upskilling and building an AI-ready culture.

Practical Agentic Solutions 1 DAY · 7 HOURS (CAT 5 IT)

For professionals ready to move beyond prompting: design, build and deploy AI-powered business applications using ChatGPT and Claude, and publish them for team use. Module 2: Build Interactive Analytics Dashboards
Upload your own data and generate a fully working dashboard with charts, KPI cards, filters and trend lines. Deploy portable dashboards for operational and management reporting.
Module 3: Build a Data Preparation & Cleansing App
Build a drag-and-drop app that cleans messy Excel files in seconds, with your own cleaning rules and ready-to-use exports.
Module 4: Build a Document Processing & PDF Workflow App
Build a browser-based tool to split, merge and reorder PDF files.
Module 5: Build a PDF Data Extraction Solution
Build an app to extract data from unstructured PDFs like invoices and reports, exporting directly to Excel.

National AI Fluency Programme

Start with the national foundations, free

The AI Fluency Programme (AIxAccountancy) by ISCA and IMDA gives every accountancy and corporate finance professional a structured AI foundation, with CPE hours and a digital badge. Skybots founder Daryl Aw serves as the ISCA AI Fluency Advisor featured in the programme.

Our advice is simple: take the national programme for your foundations, then come build hands-on with us when you want the skills in your fingers.

Going beyond training?

Redesign the roles, not just the skills

If your goal is a full workforce transformation, redesigning finance roles around AI with an implementation plan, Skybots is a pre-approved consultant under the SkillsFuture Workforce Development Grant (Job Redesign+), which funds AI-enabled job redesign consultancy at up to 70% for SMEs. To be clear: the grant funds the job redesign consultancy work, not training courses. See how the grant works.

Who should attend

If you can use Excel, you can build robots

These courses are for anyone who wants to automate repetitive work: professionals, teams and beginners. No programming skills required.
