How much funding can my company get under WDG(JR+)?

SMEs can receive funding of up to 70% and non-SMEs up to 50%, capped at $150,000 per enterprise. The grant covers workforce consultancy (up to $50,000), capability building initiatives (up to $60,000) and workforce tech solutions (up to $90,000).

Is my company eligible for the WDG(JR+) grant?

Your company must be registered or incorporated and operating in Singapore and employ at least three local employees (Singapore Citizens or PRs). At the point of application, you must not have already paid for or signed a contract for job-redesign consultancy services.

Do I need to pay the full project fee upfront?

No. WDG(JR+) uses a nett fee payment model, you pay only your co-funding portion directly to the pre-approved consultant. The government grant portion is paid directly to the consultant once approved milestones are completed.

What the grant covers

Three funded components of transformation

WDG(JR+) supports the full journey, from understanding where AI fits in your business, to training your people, to putting the right tools in their hands.

1. Workforce Consultancy	Up to $50,000	Our focus. Expert guidance from a pre-approved consultant across the transformation: assessing business needs including AI readiness, developing a workforce strategy, redesigning roles and creating a tailored implementation plan. Our consultancy is grounded in finance workflows.
2. Capability Building	Up to $60,000	Building internal expertise to sustain the transformation: engaging HR professionals or consultants to train your line managers and HR team to drive ongoing job redesign and manage change independently. This component is about job redesign capability, not general staff AI training.
3. Workforce Tech Solutions	Up to $90,000	Technology for data-driven workforce planning and skills development: workforce analytics platforms, HR manpower management tools, skills gap analysis and AI-powered HR tech. Must be combined with at least one component above.

Can your company apply?

You qualify if your company is registered or incorporated and operating in Singapore and employs at least three local employees (Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents).

Important, timing matters: at the point of application, you must not have already paid for, or signed a contract or purchase order for, job-redesign or workforce consultancy services. Talk to us before committing to anything, or you may lose access to the funding entirely.

How much funding can my company get?

What counts as a "local employee"?

Does the grant fund AI training for my staff?

Not as such. WDG(JR+) funds workforce transformation and job redesign, and the consultancy can include assessing your AI readiness and redesigning roles around AI. The capability building component is specifically about training line managers and HR to drive job redesign themselves. What if I've already spoken to another consultant?

How long does a typical project take?
